COMBINE DRILLS

40 Yard Dash – Hand Timed.

  • The time is noted and graded on the timed point scale.

20 Yard Short Shuttle – Hand Timed.

  • Description:  The athlete starts in a three point stance in the middle of ten yards.  On his movement, he runs right for five yards touching the line and then turns in the opposite direction and runs ten yards, touching that line.  He then turns opposite again and sprints through the starting point ending the test.
  • The time is noted and graded on the timed point scale.

3 Cone Drill – Hand Timed.

  • Description:  The athlete starts in a three point stance and runs forward for 5 yards touching the line with his right hand.  He then turns in the opposite direction and runs back 5 yards and touches the line where he started, again with his right hand.  He then turns in the opposite direction and runs in an “L” position for 10 yards and “figure 8’s” the furthest cone on the inside and then runs back to the starting position, staying on the outside of the cones.
  • The time is noted and graded on the timed point scale.

Standing Broad Jump -

  • Description:  The athlete stands behind the line then jumps forward, lands flat footed and motionless.  The measurement is taken from the furthest point of either heel of closest mark to the starting line.
  • The measurement is noted and graded to the measured point scale.

Standing Vertical Jump –

  • Description:  The athlete stands flat footed underneath a high jump measurement device.  He jumps as high as he can, touching the highest point possible on the device.
  • The measurement is noted and graded to the measurement point scale.
